SXC was the recent recipient of the Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute (PBMI) Rx Benefit Innovation Award for its RxPORTAL trial adjudication functionality. This feature helps patients assess the savings of movin g from a brand drug to a newly released generic medication to promote a quick move to the generic product. This enables both clients and members to benefit from the savings quickly without compromising therapy or simply shifting cost to members.
Analysis of trial adjudications submitted through RxPORTAL indicated that nearly 40% of consumers who used the tool to investigate more cost-effective drug alternatives made the decision to use a lower cost product. These consumers realized an average savings of $41.80 per prescription.
